Principal's Message


“The Annual event of the Tamil literary Union of St.Anthony's College is held with a successful participation of the students, teachers and parents of the students. The old boys of the tamil section had supported in several occasions in this regard and played an active role in organizing this event.

Yet The kalai Vizha of 2011 is being organized with a great support of the old boys of the College. Their enthusiastic is remarkable and encouraging. This will definitly set a good tradition in future for the present students to follow when they become old boys”


College History


On Easters Sunday of 5th August 1942 catholic devotees had as were their custom crowded churches and were deeply eng1:ossed in their prayers to God. The roar of airplanes reverberated from all directions. The thunderous boom of bombs was interspersed with the staccato burnt of gun fire.

it was then that it dawned upon everyone that the city was under Japanese air attack. The excited congregation hastily dispersed towards home in confused panic. They were simply feardriven wondering what had happened.
